Update on our garden

So far our square foot garden is doing pretty good. We don't have any veggies yet, but our lettuce and spinach is delicious to the max... well, as delicious and flavorful as lettuce and spinach can get I guess.

The vines on the nylon trellis are spaghetti squash.

This last memorial day The Shreeves from Arizona came to visit and we went on a hike up the mountain in my dad's backyard. Here are some of the highlights.

Square Foot Gardening

On May 16th, we began planting our Square Foot Gardens. Jenn's dad gave her the awesome birthday present of two square foot garden boxes for us. We just had to fill it with dirt.

The trick is the mix of 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 compost (mixed from 4-5 different types)

We had a lot of fun planting and the soil looks awesome. Head on over to www.squarefootgardening.com for information on the process.

St. George Temple Trip

This last month we made a weekend roadtrip down to St. George. Luckily we were able to stay in my Aunt Karen's condo. On Saturday after the temple we headed down to Zion's National Park and hiked on some great trails.  I personally had never been and I would recommend it to anyone.  We had a lot of fun but I think it ended too soon.
